Translation of technical documents from one language to another may impact substantially on the graphical layout of documents.  When translating documents from English into Arabic for example, the word count will reduce and there will be more space. The text direction of the Middle East languages, such as Arabic, Hebrew, Turkish, and Persian are from right to left. So, we have to make some adjustments to make the target language appear in a good layout.

What is Quality Assurance?

Quality Assurance (QA) is the process of monitoring specific project results to determine if they comply with relevant quality standards, and find ways to eliminate any causes of the unsatisfactory performance.

When checking the layout of the files, the QA team members apply strict criteria. They check punctuation, headers and footers, titles, numbering and graphics, and update the cross-references, tables of contents and indexes, etc.

The standard list for QA checks involves the following:
